I have a confession to make.
I’m not a huge veggie eater.
I know. I know. What kind of bento/food art/healthy eating mom am I? For whatever reason, I have it somewhere in my brain that veggies take more work. Now fruit, you just wash and pop in your mouth. Veggies, though, require more planning and commitment: Peeling. Chopping. Slicing. Massaging. Steaming. Blanching. Roasting. I love a good, crunchy salad and will dive right into crudites… but usually only when someone else does the prep.
Of course, I push veggies on the kids and always have some snackables on hand in the fridge, and their bento lunches boast carrots or cukes on any given day. But I can afford to be a little more inspired to push more. Some people find inspiration in quotes or photos; clever design always does it for me. So in my quest to find veggie-centric, quality design, I came across quite a few I certainly wouldn’t mind hanging on my walls:
Puns. Good, corny puns are also quite inspiring.
How adorable are these? So cute you want to eat them up, that’s how.
In a perfect world, someone else does all the nagging for you.
I want one of everything from Etsy seller anek. After browsing her prints, I’m convinced that eating your veggies can be an art form.
And my favorite decorating trick: use gift wrap. This cavallini le jardin wrapping paper measures 20″x28″ and only costs $3.95:
