It could be 100 degrees out in the middle of August, but it doesn’t matter: my kids will happily watch the Charlie Brown Christmas special any day, any time. It’s their favorite feel-good flick. We’ve tried moving on to other Peanuts movies, but after my six-year-old called his older brother a blockhead, I figured we’d stick to the Christmas special as much as possible.
In the spirit of those “mommy and me” bowls I make, I figured I couldn’t pass up a classic pair!
For Charlie Brown:
- steel cut oats
- mini chocolate chip eyes
- almond butter hair, nose and smile
- plain full-fat yogurt
- banana ear with Peanut Butter Co. dark chocolate dreams (dark chocolate with peanut butter)
- almond butter eye
- Get Unreal candy nose (dye-free M&Ms you can find at Target)

I love seeing the Peanuts gang pop up on other bento blogs, too. Here are a few of my faves (click on the pic to go to the direct blog link):
That’s a toast turkey, people! Genius.
I’m in love with that Charlie Brown t-shirt. I did the same thing for a Christmas bento without realizing a blogger had already thought of the idea. Just goes to show that good Charlie Brown fans think alike!
