My little luxury: Going to Target. Alone. No kids fighting over the seats in that monstrous cart thing. No having to shove a smartphone in someone’s hand so you can cruise the end caps. We moms don’t ask for much, you know? Just an hour to ourselves sipping a half-price Frapp and scoping out the newest Target finds. That actually sounds like a pretty good Mother’s Day gift, if you ask me.
Last week I slipped out after the kids went down and was pleasantly surprised to see some new bento-friendly gear. Here’s what I came across:
Bento-style containers with an insulated neoprene sleeve, $9.99:
And the inside:
And a salad container set:
Blue Avocado machine washable reusable plastic baggies, $7.29:
Blue Avocado insulated sandwich bags–or for anything, also $7.29:
A peek inside:
New Circo insulated lunch bag patterns, $7.99–so adorable! They come with a buckle strap on top and a mesh drink holder on the side. Love the floral one and the chevron one.
I was SUPER excited to see these, since I found them on the Avery website when the school year started but never got around to ordering them. Waterproof, dishwasher-safe labels for a fraction of the cost of the designer ones. Just write their name or allergy info with a Sharpie and you’re good to go. $2.19 for 35 small or 20 big.
Dollar Spot goodies: Cocktail forks perfect for bentos, for eating cut fruit, diced meat, etc. Flamingo swizzle sticks, 8/$1, in action here featured on All Things Target.
Can’t wait to see what comes out for the picnic and barbecue summer season. Share if you’ve seen anything I missed!
